Submissions

(NOTE: SUBMISSIONS FOR 2024 ARE NOW CLOSED) You are invited to submit a peer-reviewed presentation proposal for VGTVG 2024!

DUE ON OR BEFORE SUNDAY, DECEMBER 3, 2023.

ALL APPLICANTS WILL RECEIVE NOTIFICATION IN JANUARY 2024.

REGISTRATION WILL OPEN IN FEBRUARY 2024.

The format is either a 30-minute oral presentation or a 60-minute poster presentation. An anonymous peer-review process will be done by the 2024 Organizing/Planning Committee in order to select the presentations.

Whether for a 30-minute oral presentation or a 60-minute poster presentation, we seek proposals that offer a rich and engaging learning-focused experience for participants. In your proposal, we encourage you to clearly outline playful learning strategies that coincide with demonstrating how various video game-experiences can enhance and augment your chosen aspect of learning or therapy. For whatever presentation category you choose, please focus on creating engaging activities and discussions, as well as interactive elements that could be incorporated to actively involve audience members in the exploration and understanding of your desired topic.

Additionally, we welcome proposals that promote research findings and best practices, providing practical insights and actionable takeaways participants can implement in their own work. The proposals should be concise, yet comprehensive, showcasing a thoughtful and well-structured plan for delivering a dynamic and informative presentation. “Proposed research” or “works in progress” are also more than welcome.
